I am Worthy of Love


Don't we all need a little reminder sometimes?
I am worthy of love - it even sounds nice.
How many of us truly believe it? We are constantly giving love - as mothers, wives, caregivers - but we forget that we, too, are worthy of love.
So deep for my first post, but I truly want this to lead my life.
I suffer from depression and anxiety, which in turn mess up my sleeping cycle, I also go through periods of high productivity (guess which one I am in right now). It is a difficult roller coaster but through it all I see how much my family loves me, understands me and wants to be there for me. They don't know what to do either, but they are there for me to hold me when I need to and to be my safe haven. I am worthy of their love!
I am human and have my weaknesses but I am worthy of love.

Perú - Part 2

We took a late afternoon flight and got to Lima around 7pm. Since we were taking another flight to Cusco in the morning, we stayed at a hostel about 5 minutes away from the airport. It was nice and clean, but we discovered this style is not our cup of tea for sure. We did have a delicious beer (1 liter bottle) and went to bed early to have energy for the next day. On Saturday we took the flight to Cusco and arrived around midday. We hired a taxi cab inside the airport (this is important) and were driven to our accommodation. Please please please hire the cab inside the airport! Just by driving by we saw beautiful buildings and water sculptures we wanted to visit straight away! Good thing we had a plan, that way we were able to fit these in :) I had booked the best deal I could find that was near Plaza de Armas. Perú - Our first big family trip

Lima Airport It was one of those bucket list trips I've had since I saw the show "In Search Of..." where they showed the Nazca lines. I was always attracted by the mystery behind all these wonderful places and usually let my mind wander as a child. So when I learned of the really cheap flights Avianca was offering I immediately booked 3 tickets! This is very unusual for us, we like to plan things well in advanced and make doubly sure of everything, but for this trip we just bought the tickets and sorted it out later. As a family we'd already traveled to Guatemala, but that trip was wholly planned by my father-in-law seeing that he lives there and knows his way around. For Perú, it was completely up to us. This is when I was introduced to all the wonderful cheap hotel sites out there, especially Hotels Combined  and Booking.com . I managed to score very good prices at locations that couldn't be beat. I am most grateful about...

It's the small stuff...sure a big gesture warrants gratefulness, but to me, the everyday small stuff is more meaningful. It is a constant influx of efforts other people do to make you happy. I realized this today as I was talking to my husband about an upcoming trip we're planning. We are both very laid back and adventurous, we both work from home and we rarely do fancy stuff. But one of the shortlist items for this trip is having High Tea in London. I've been going back and forth between a fancy Tea Room, like Café Royal or the Ritz, or a Thames Tea Cruise (suggestions are welcome!). Anywho, I asked my husband about it this morning...also explaining that we would probably need to dress up for it - I mentioned that the Ritz requests jacket and tie and both Café Royal and Bateaux are smart casual. I was totally expecting him to tell me to ditch the High Tea but instead he put on his thinking face and the first thing he said was "we need to figure out where to rent
